Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest has added another big-name rock band to their lineup. Producers have announced that Capital Cities is joining the artists who will perform as part of the West Coast Party segments of annual ABC New Year's Eve special, which will be hosted by pop starFergie. The group joins previously-announced artist Fall Out Boy on the bill.
Additional artists, to be announced in the coming weeks, will be performing live in New York City's Times Square.
The fun starts December 31 at 8 p.m. ET with New Year’s Rockin’ Eve Presents the 30 Greatest Women in Music, a special hosted by Jenny McCarthy, Ryan Seacrest and Fergie, which will count down the titular women using archival clips and interviews. Then, at 10 p.m., the "primetime" portion of the evening will begin, as the three hosts spotlight some of the year's hottest artists and songs.
The actual Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2014 broadcast kicks off at 11 p.m. ET as Seacrest counts down to midnight live from Times Square, after which the party will keep going until 2:12 am E.T.
