If you missed your opportunity to see Metallica's 3D concert film in theaters last month, you’ll soon get your chance to watch the flick from the comfort of your own living room. Metallica has announced they’ll be releasing Metallica Through the Never on DVD, Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray and at all the usual digital retailers on January 28.

The DVD, Blu-ray and 3D Blu-ray versions of the film include an 80-minute documentary, Making of Metallica Through the Never, plus extensive behind-the-scenes footage, and interviews with the cast and crew of the movie. In addition, the packages include footage from a Q&A session the band took part in at the recent Mill Valley Film Festival, and highlights from drummer Lars Ulrich’s Film Tent at the 2013 Orion Music + More festival.

Limited edition sets will also be available, which include a Metallica Through the Never bandana and aMetallica Through the Never movie poster lithograph. Members of Metallica’s Met Club can purchase a deluxe package, which includes a lithograph signed by the band, as well as a piece of Doris, the statue of Lady Justice, along with a letter of authenticity. Only 1,000 of those deluxe packages will be sold.
