An actor who stars on the CW network will play Mick Jagger in the upcoming James Brown biopic.

Nick Eversman, who appears on the new CW series Tomorrow People, will portray the Rolling Stonesfrontman in Get On Up, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In the movie, a young Jagger will cross paths with Brown at a concert where the Godfather of Soul "becomes enraged."

Eversman, 27, has a small connection to the Stones — he sang the band's "Time Is On My Side" for the 2011 HBO movie Cinema Verite.

42 actor Chadwick Boseman will star as Brown. The cast also includes The Help actresses Viola Davis andOctavia Spencer, as well as Dan Aykroyd and The Office actor Craig Robinson.

Get On Up is currently being shot in Atlanta.  It's scheduled to premiere October 17, 2014.
