Report: New David Gilmour Solo Album in the Works, to Feature Crosby & Nash

Some cool news has emerged that's sure to excite Pink Floyd fans: Singer/guitarist David Gilmourapparently is busy working on his first new solo studio album since 2006's On an Island.  During an interview last month with the Vintage.tv show Needle TimeGraham Nash revealed that he and his Crosby, Stills & Nash band mate David Crosby had plans to travel to Brighton, England, to lend backing vocals to Gilmour's upcoming record.

Nash reported that he and Crosby were not charging a fee for their contributions.

"What the hell would it cost you to have David Crosby and Graham Nash getting on a bloody train to Brighton to sing with you?" he quipped.  "We're musicians.  We love good songs.  We'll sing them until we are dead."

Nash and Crosby also appeared on the title track of On an Island, as well as being featured as special guests on select dates of Gilmour's tour in support of the album.
