Beck may have a new album headed our way next year, but the singer had to overcome a major hurdle in order to make it. Speaking with the Argentine newspaper Página/12, Beck says he suffered from some major medical issues which prevented him from making music and performing as often as he would have liked.
"I had severe damage to my spine, but now it's improving so I'm back in the music," he explains. "It was a long, long recovery. Do not think I can move again as before, although I can give a lot onstage."
Beck is expected to release his 12th studio album, Morning Phase, sometime next February. Since his last album, 2008's Morning Guilt, was released the singer has put out sheet music for 20 new songs in December of 2012, and, over the last few months, unveiled a few singles: "Defriended," "I Won't Be Long" and "Gimme."
